For those interested in following my progress, I've been posting updates on my pen name journal so I can stay all whiny and depressed and emo over here.

When you get so homesick that it causes you to be literally sick all the time... What are you supposed to do when you can't move home?

Am I the only one so tied to a place that I can't stand to be away from it for more than a year at a time?

Funny how much depression can affect your ability to get more word count.

Kids were a nightmare today... didn't get anything written until after 10 pm. I'm hoping that Sunday goes better.

I love my playlist. It gives me exactly what I need for the scene I'm writing. In this case, "The Maiden and the Minstrel Knight" by Blind Guardian decided to play just as the main character was meeting the hero.

I'm going to be a little unconventional here and say the scene in Return of the King (Lord of the Rings) where Eowyn and Faramir are in the houses of healing, watching the darkness of Mordor and holding hands. It just strikes me as... wonderful. That even in the face of the end of the world, love can still blossom. But I'm a sucker for epic romance like that.
